In an effort to track citizen media stories of hope and resilience after the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season that wreaked havoc on several islands along the Caribbean archipelago, the Caribbean Voice initiative, comprising partners Global Voices, Covela Foundation and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), asked social media users region-wide to hashtag their experiences as they undertake rebuilding efforts.
While natural disasters routinely make headlines, there are also stories to be found in the recovery process – inspiring stories of strength, determination and kindness.
