Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Caribbean islands that make up the Caymans. (Cayman Brac and Little Cayman are the other two.) One of the Caribbean’s greatest regattas is back again in the British Virgin Islands for 2020.

Next month, some 800 sailors and crew from around the world will descend on Tortola for the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival.

This year, the festival will be held from March 30 – April 5.

The popular St Thomas International Regatta is back, part of a growing wave of relaunched regattas across the Caribbean.

It’s the 48th edition of the regatta, which features sailing and land events from March 24 to March 27. 

That includes daily meals, music events and dinners, along with racing across a host of classes, from mult-hull to Obie waves and racing.
