Bahamas Tourism Officials Welcome Launch of First Ever Nonstop Flight From US to Bimini Airport
NASSAU, Bahamas – The Bahamas tourism officials have welcomed the launch of the first-ever nonstop service from the United States to the South Bimini Airport (BIM) saying it will provide travelers with “seamless and nonstop access” to the island known as The Gateway to The Bahamas.
Bimini is the westernmost district of the Bahamas and comprises a chain of islands located about 50 miles east of Miami.
The Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) said that the nonstop service by American Airlines beginning on February 14, next year, “ is a significant milestone, strengthening The Bahamas’ position as a leading tourism destination and reinforcing BMOTIA’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to the Out Islands.
