You know the typical arrival protocol for a Caribbean trip. You fly to your destination, get off the plane, head to customs, get your bags and then take some kind of car or van to your hotel, usually taking somewhere between 15 minutes and an hour, depending on where the hotel is.

But what if you could fly directly into your hotel? It’s generally the area of private-island resorts that have their own airports – but it usually takes two flights to get to them.
