This Dominican Republic Airline Just Kicked Off Its Newest Route, Connecting the Country’s Increasingly Popular Historic Capital to Miami
The Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo is oldest continuously-inhabited city in the New World, and it’s a tapestry of cafes, art galleries, hip bars and boutique hotels, all set in five-hundred-year-old buildings. It’s also the fastest-growing destination in the Dominican Republic, a country whose tourism numbers keep growing as visitors continue to explore beyond traditional hubs like Punta Cana.
And there’s a new way to get to Santo Domingo, thanks to upstart airline Arajet, the Dominican Republic-based carrier that just started its brand-new nonstop service between Miami and the capital.
