When you think of Curaçao, images of impeccable beaches, luxurious hotels and fantastic shopping opportunities are first to come to mind.
But Curaçao has a lot more than that to offer, particularly in the early quarter of the year when the island’s culture comes on show for the annual Carnival.
Carnivals in Trinidad and Tobago and Brazil, which take place around the same time, often overshadow festivities in Curaçao. But local artisans have found a way to distinguish themselves from these events.
