American Airlines has kicked off its latest relaunch of service to the Caribbean, this time with a pair of nonstop routes to the Turks and Caicos Islands. 

The Turks and Caicos Islands officially relaunched its tourism sector on July 22, and American Airlines is now flying two nonstop routes to the destination.

Playa Hotels and Resorts is reopening its all-inclusive properties in the Cap Cana enclave of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. 

The Sanctuary Cap Cana resort, which is managed by Playa, is reopening on July 15, according to the company. 

The company’s newest resorts, Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana and Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, are both reopening on July 22. 

Playa also announced a pair of other resorts in the wider Caribbean-Mexico region slated to debut the same date: the Panama Jack Resorts Cancun and the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta.

he Secrets Cap Cana resort has officially reopened in the Dominican Republic’s most exclusive enclave. 

The 457-room all-inclusive resort began welcoming guests again on July 15. 

The move comes after the Dominican Republic relaunched its tourism industry on July 1. 

The adults-only property has reopened under parent company AMResorts’ new “CleanComplete Verification” health and safety protocols.

The Bahamas has updated its COVID-19 testing protocols for visitors to the destination. 

Travelers must now present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within 10 days of arrival. 

The proof of negative result is part of the required Bahamas Health Visa application all travelers must fill out. 

Tests more than 10 days old will not be accepted, officials said.
